Lauren

Hi, that’s me, Lauren, in the middle.  I live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and  graduated from The University of Alabama – Roll Tide! I married the love of my life, Jeffrey, in the summer of 2012.  Shortly after, we added a sweet Great Dane named Riggins to our family.

I would have to say that my love of television began in middle school with the CW (then – the WB) and shows like Smallville, 7th Heaven, One Tree Hill, and Everwood.  Bethany and I would talk on the phone and all day at school about Ephram, Matt Camden, and the Scott Brothers.  That was pre-DVR, pre-Netflix, pre-TVonDVD, pre-AllThingsThatAreGood.  Later, after all of those wonderful inventions and graduating college, my newly found free-time and extra spending money allowed my love for television to resurface with a Netflix subscription, a DVR, and u-verse online.

I have seen every episode of:
(in chronological order of when I began watching)
*Grey’s Anatomy
LOST
Bachelor/ette (Ashley, Ben, Emily, Sean, Des, Juan Pablo)
New Girl
*Scandal
The Lying Game

Hello! That’s me, Bethany, the human on the right. The beautiful canine beast is the aforementioned, Riggins. (I am currently undergoing a campaign to have my own domesticated canine companion… he will be called Mr. Darcy. But more on that later.)*** I am a proud graduate of the University of Alabama. I now live in the fabulous Port City of Mobile, AL where I work as an admissions counselor at a gorgeous liberal arts college. I’ve got two amazing room mates, who I never see because we’re all so busy. However, we always make time for television! A little bit about me: I’m a bargain shopper… like clearance racks all the way… and I may have a slight problem in that I can’t walk in Old Navy without purchasing something. I love to read- usually that inconsequential, trashy chic-lit. I am single and probably always will be because no one will ever measure up to Nathan Scott, no one. Ever.

That’s pretty much where it all began, with One Tree Hill on the CW, Nathan Scott and Lauren Marie nee Hanson. Growing up, my family didn’t have cable. My parents encouraged me and my 3 younger siblings to read (not the trashy chic-lit then of course) and play outside. All we had were the 6 local stations which included PBS and the local news. And let’s be real, Barney’s and Mr. Rogers’  entertainment value just wouldn’t cut it for ever. Finally, in 7th grade the tv gods smiled upon me and the angels sang a hallelujah chorus as the CW graced us with its presence. Like Lauren said, 7th Heaven became my new obsession.

Later, my parents caved and got cable (after I’d gone off to college… figures) while I spent the extra $15 a month for DVR in my dorm with my new found best friend and partner in crime, Sarah Marie. She’s probably the reason I am the way I am today. She corrupted me. She made college amazing. She introduced me to LOST (caught up on 5 seasons in the span of 3 months), Friends (previously forbidden in my conservative home) and Bones (the couple that took forever to finally get together).

I’m not going to make a list, because let’s be real, it’s pretty much the exact same list as Lauren’s. Ultimately, the only thing I want you to take away from this is that I need to be on television. Bucket list item #3= be an extra on a tv show or movie. This is, of course, if I don’t star in my own self-written and produced dramedy…. it’s a word. Look it up.

***UPDATE: This is like one of those annoying election updates that come up on your screen during an extremely intense tv drama moment. However, I’ve been nice enough to let it scroll across the bottom instead of interrupting the whole show. MR. DARCY IS REAL! After years of dreaming, campaigning and living vicariously through my pet owner friends- I have finally found my match.

Casting

Check out this beaut. He’s so dashing. So debonair. Such a gentleman! (I may be biased in my opinions but love is blind)
